I think it's the girl in me that wanted to post this special prissy-&-classy-in-pink cake first. If this cake had a name, I think her name would be Chrissy. Without a doubt, it was made for a bride-to-be named Chris, short for Christina. I was inspired by her bridal shower invitation and wanted to make a one of kind 2-tiered chocolate heavenly cake covered in pink fondant.

Prissy & Classy in Pink
My first blog! How exciting!
Knowing the bride-to-be loves everything chocolate. The top round 6"of triple-layered-chocolate-fudge cake is covered in pink vanilla buttercream that matched the color of the fondant. The bottom 10" cake is also chocolate fudge with 3 layers, but it was indulged in a rich rich chocolate fudge buttercream that was both creamy & luscious.
To bring the 'classy' attitude into this cake I lightly pressed the argyle shapes into the fondant and dotted them with glossy black writing gel. The bottom tier was handdrawn to resemble the whimsical design on the invitation & a prissy black bow to tie it all together.
In the end, it was a delicious & heavenly chocolate delight that was 'prissy & classy in pink': A total treat for the charmed eyes of the lovely bride-to-be, her guests, and their taste buds. Yum!
