A COMPLETE spread of cake & cookies inspired by the bride & grooms custom made island turquoise & bright yellow invitations. I tied the colors & the theme of their wedding together with the use that beautiful crisp Tiffany blue on the cake & cookie with fondant and frosting along with delicate yellow Plumeria flowers.
I must have made, what it felt like, a gazillion bright yellow Plumerias. They adorned the top of the cake and all around the cake. Needless to say that took A LOT of time.
For this island-themed spread, I actually made a marshmallow fondant which you can see the difference from a regular sugar fondant from the natural gloss it exudes. It was a little harder to work with than I liked, but it tasted delightful!
