One fish Two fish...PINK FISH!

Dr. Seuss from Seussville...visited the PamCakes
Okay, maybe only in inspiration & make believe...
But the result was full of colorful joy and filled with make-believe FUN!

The towering fun & sweetness indeed was made for a 1 year old's grand celebration & custom requests by some very lovely & loving Aunties!

I think if babygurl, Ysadora, could have imagined & dreamed this Dr. Seuss cake into creation, she would have wanted exactly just that:
Fun, Pink, & FILLED with Whimsy!

It was 3-tiers of Vanilla buttery cake with the middle layer being moist Strawberry cake. Just enough for a grand Topsy-Turvy kind the big 'ONE' year celebration!

The whimsical PINK fish hopping out of a Ysodora ONLY teapot is made from rice-crispy treat and covered with yummy marshmallow fondant! & Yes, the teapot is also made out of cake! Yummy enough to make this entire cake a hit & completely edible!

Look at PINK fish's friends...Purple fish & Green fish...being the PERFECT candles for little Ysa to blow-out on her 1st Bday!

A last look at this towering goodness~
Ahh..isn't childhood wonderful! Amazing birthday parties, the best of laughter, and celebrating playtime with characters like Dr. Seuss.

And when you are one lucky kiddo like Ysadora! Everyday is playtime!

And until next time, says Dr. Seuss, "Be good kiddos!"
Maybe there will be something amazing for your birthdays too!

Flip Flop Weather?

Is it Flip Flop weather? Not yet...

But for the little girls eagerly awaiting to celebrate their spring birthdays and cute-as-a-button Sunday dresses for Easter weekend...God will have to swing one for us!

How adorable are these Lilly Pulitzer girl's dresses

In preparation for an absolutely divine birthday party this Easter weekend that revolves around some much needed pool time, Lilly Pulitzer's pink & green, & Easter Sunday...

I made these wonderful little flip flops to delight the little princesses 'n their endless imaginations... Perfect for some playtime in the sun: Afterall, every princess must have the 'perfect' matching shoes to her outfit!

A look-see at the whole collection:

Yes, these are made out of sugar - little candied pieces of flip-flop sweetness!

Some more close-ups...please!

Which Pair would you choose?

A pair out of the spring green collection?

Or the pink & sweet?

Maybe one of these cute stripes or paisley ones?

Yes indeed, before I knew it I was surrounded by cute flipflops that were too cute to eat!

However, I'm pretty certain once these were topped on vibrant & luscious cupcakes, little girls will have no problemo' devouring these buuuutiful spring & lilly pulitzer inspired delights~

Be sure to check back next week for the final display of these flipflops on some adorable cuppycakes! Believe me, you won't want to miss it!

Velveteen PUPPY

Introducing: Mr. Velveteen PUPPY!

Here's what I started with:

And ended up with Velveteen Puppy, the cake twin!

Oh Puppy! You had me at, 'Hello!'

I had the pleasure of driving down to Richmond, VA to visit one of my favorite lil'toddlers: Mr. Jayden! Jayden brightens up anytime he sees his Velveteen Puppy! He sleeps with it everyday, plays with it, & loves it with all his heart. Yes, indeed, Velveteen Puppy is very very loved.

Naturally to help Mr. Jayden celebrate his 1-yr old birthday & introduction into 'toddler-hood' ~ kinda a big deal, Jayden Momma thought what better than the Velveteen Puppy himself!

Sure 'nough! It was a HIT!

Jayden's face brightened up right when he saw Velveteen Puppy (the cake)! I think he was little weetie-bittie confused when he saw 'em right next to each other:
I know...I can't get enough of that puppy in the window either...let's get some close-ups. So we can get to know the Velveteen Puppy a little mo'!

Puppy Face:
Puppy Ear:
Puppy Hand:
Happy Feet:
Yummy Foot:
Puppy Profile:

Puppy Belly (Yes, chocolate cake):

It didn't seem right to ask Mr. Jayden to devour his beloved friend (the cake), so Momma & I decided it was best to present Jayden with a personal cupcake GIANT SIZED:
A slight reluctancy at first, maybe due to the size of that 'personal' cupcake...but once he got his little fingers in it...Mr. Jayden knew just what to do...
No fuss about it Mr. J was having a great time!
A grand finale photo shoot with the whole gang, the real Velveteen Puppy n all!
Just the cake tower:
Pups peaking through:
It's time to say 'Goodbye'!

*Music: 'How much was that doggy in the window'?

Happy 1st Birthday, Mr. Jayden!
